There are many elements behind a beautiful martini, ranging from the spirits used, the variety poured, even the music and lighting.
However, one of the critical elements to your enjoyment is the company. It’s not just how you drink your martini, it’s who you drink it with that matters.

For as long as I remember, I have loved dogs. They have always been around me and I adore their company, including when everyone is relaxed and I’m enjoying my favourite drink.

So for this post I just wanted to collate some pictures containing both dogs and Martinis to showcase the joy they bring to the violet hour.

Here is Elephant and Castle celebrity, the adorable Pomeranian Monty Powell-Hobbs, fresh from a trim and ready for martini service at Latin American fine dining restaurant Sucre in London’s West end.

This is my own daughter Tango, a Miniature Hebridean Wolfhound lurcher on the Isle of Mull.

She is often seen looking cute around the dinner table, most probably in the hope of attracting snacks.

Here she is posing in the hope of something barbecued.

This is her sister Strega (Italian for ‘witch’) whose greyhound genes shine through in her silvery fur.

This is her channeling her Italian heritage sporting a Massimo Dutti jacket (Spring/Summer collection) for an al fresco aperitif at the pub.

She opts for a more casual look at home.

Tango has always been one for jumping up on the furniture.

She’s been up there since she was a puppy. Here she is with my mother.

This is her as a puppy, being indoctrinated into the martini lifestyle from a young age.

This handsome gentleman with incredible hair is my aunty’s baby Hobie.

He provides impeccable martini company.

Here he is showing his preference for a homemade Nettle Martini.

This is his big brother Brock who sadly left us earlier this year.

We will always miss you Brockie-boy ♥️

If you have any photos of dogs and martinis you’d like to share, please tag me in your photo on Instagram.
Otherwise, look after your dogs.

We don’t deserve them!

Tango was my first dog a border collie, I was a bit to young for cocktails but I remember liking vodka…
